See MORE of Alaska. Drive, don't float.

The vast open spaces and the wonderful natural beauty. We love the great outdoors, and this huge state is virtually nothing BUT great outdoors. Cruise ships offer a glimpse of Alaska's immense grandeur, but they only scratch the surface. I'd advise that you rent a car and get into Alaska. Don't just float around it.
We treasured each day in this beautiful state. The scenery is so pristine and refreshing. And, the people are REAL, too. They are genuine in their hospitality. You truly feel like visitors, not tourists. You would never get to experience this warmth if you visit Alaska only via cruise ship. Rent a car, and then stay in B&Bs. It's the only way to go. Cheaper, too!
