Burkina Faso (the name) is made up of a word in Bobo and a word in Fulani.
Together they mean The Land of a People with Integrity.
I found this an apt name for this country and its people. I am sure that the
time spent with Sangara as political leader - a man of integrity himself who worked to improve life for his people and tried to work with other W.A. leaders to enable W.A. to gain some financial independence from the major world powers. No telling what might have happened if he had lived. I believe Burkina remains one of the poorest countries in the world.
